Coastal Cottages in Cornwall
Few Coastal cottages in Cornwall command such a spectacular Coastal Path location as Burnt Toast Cottage. Situated in the tiny hamlet of Kemyel Wartha, Burnt Toast Cottage is a very pretty detached self catering cottage, perched on the coastal path on the cliffs above Lamorna Cove.
Burnt Toast Cottage was constructed from local granite in the late 1800’s and in 2007 this delightful coastal cottage underwent a complete and sympathetic refurbishment. With every modern appliance, this delightful self catering Coastal Cottage has been restored to the highest standard whilst retaining original features such as pine and granite beams.
Kemyel Wartha near Lamorna Cove
The tiny hamlet of Kemyel Wartha is comprised of five coastal cottages at the end of a long unmade track. There is no through traffic and being a long way from any road, there is hardly any noise to be heard apart from the sound of the waves breaking on the rocks in the cove below, or the occasional sound from the passing boats.
If you follow the Coastal Path to the West, Lamorna Cove is about a 10 minute walk away. The lovely village of Mousehole is about a 1 mile walk to the East. As you can see fro the ariel photograph, we are surrounded by fields, pastures and woodlands, and of course, the sea.
Burnt Toast Cottage is the last of the cottages in the hamlet and the Coastal Path runs right in front of the Cottage. This delightful three bedroomed, two bathroom self catering Coastal Cottages sleeps five comfortably. The cottage garden laid to lawn both to the front and side surrounded by a traditional Cornish hedge. To the rear of the Coastal Cottage is a Cornish hedged and graveled parking area for about 6 cars.
